I am an RN consulting with Adult Family Homes and families in the Seattle metropolitan area since 2004. I have been working with Golden Hill AFH continuously since 2006 when I placed my first client there. My clients were and are always well cared for, clean and respected. I am particularly impressed with this provider's sharp eye noticing when there were subtle changes with my clients' conditions and her proactive communication and advocacy for them. The food and attention to nutrition and hydration is excellent as is the attention made to skin care. She excels in working with the primary care providers and ancillary medical staff coming into the home to provide care, including hospice. I would not hesitate to place a loved one at Golden Hill. Given the breath of my experience, I have been in hundreds of homes over the years and Golden Hill is one of the best AFHs in our community.
To whom it may concern, We had our elderly Mother living at Golden Hill Adult family Home from 2006-2011. Gratiana and her staff were fantastic in looking after all of Mom's needs. Gratiana's communication with us was open and frequent. She never failed to keep us informed of any medical situation that needed our attention. I believe her grasp of Mom's medical issues were often better focused and more accurate than the health-care professionals as she was involved with Mom throughout each day. The level of care Mom received at Golden Hill made the need for Mom to leave rare. When aging caused a couple of occasions when Mom needed hospitalization or treatment Gratiana made herself available to assist us night and day to get Mom to the medical facility needed. Gratiana is very organized and meticulous. She is the business owner and she should take great pride in her ability to combine proficiency with genuine concern and care for the people in her home. The home is always clean and the food smells great (and tasted great when we tried an occasional serving). We had exactly nothing to be concerned about in the 6 years Mom lived there. We trusted Gratiana completely and had no regrets whatsoever. It is not possible to put a price on the peace of mind we had with Mom in Gratiana's care. She is genuinely affectionate with her residents. We were able to travel, work and sleep soundly knowing Mom was comfortable and safe in this home that is of the highest quality. Though Mom passed away many years ago, we remain in contact with and occasionally visit Gratiana. She is a warm, caring and extremely professional business owner we are glad to now have as our friend.
My mother has been cared for at Golden Hill Adult Family Home in Shoreline for the past four plus years and I have only good things to say about our experience. I would recommend Golden Hill to anyone one who looking for an excellent living experience for their loved one. The beautiful home is located in a quiet natural setting surrounded by trees. The common areas are roomy, light and designed so each resident is afforded privacy as well as welcome in the open spaces for group activities. The home is meticulously cared for and kept exceedingly clean. Staff at Golden Hill are well trained and are the most caring people I have known. They give the residents care and comfort and always have time for me and our family. I have complete confidence in not only their skill but that they really care about the people in their home. Gratina Scrob has provided our family with the knowledge and security that our mother is in the very best home where she is being very well cared for. I come to visit often and am always treated like family. I have every confidence that my mom is in the best place she could be and I am so grateful to Gratiana and staff for providing her this care.

Dearest Sylvia I can’t imagine processing the compassion you must have to do what you do. Your kindness and caring are beyond measure your working knowledge of not only human anatomy but human emotion and family dynamics is most impressive. Add to this the ability to run a 24 hour crew of skilled workers and a business being closely watched and inspected by the state. I don’t know how you deal with the stress this must incur.
